Mastering the Game
The Food Heroes curriculum is versatile and is designed to be:

a full guided program taught over the course of a school year;

broken down into individual components of materials and topics that best suit your educational requirements and interests;

or uniquely assembled into kits of materials covering specific themes.
The curriculum has three segments of guided lesson plans, called “Quests”, in which students, teachers or parents accompany 5 Food Heroes. Together they overcome new challenges focused on different environmental and nutritional issues to discover how to save the world by making smart food and health choices.
At the end of their journey of unlocking the right combination of foods, becoming friends with nature, winning over food villains and all else in between, kids become Food Heroes themselves that eat with love for their own bodies, communities and the planet!
The Quests and teaching materials come in the form of lesson plans, worksheets, activities, game boards, flashcards, storybooks, journals etc. They can be used individually depending on the topic desired and are easily downloadable upon purchase. These over 160 teaching materials engage with STEM, Common Core Standards, the arts and physical activity.
Whether it is learning about our colourful biodiversity or important macronutrients; teaching STEM activities or arts; learning at school, online or at home, Food Heroes has all bases covered!

Every Student Becomes a Food Hero
The Food Heroes curriculum follows 5 Food Hero characters that are designed to be inclusive and reflect our world's colourful racial and cultural diversity.
Moreover, with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) planned into all teaching materials and worksheets, the Food Heroes' program creates a holistic educational environment where children's emotional needs and intelligence is targeted.
Created to make every child feel welcome and represented in becoming a Food Hero, it embarks all kids on the adventure to save the world and change the way we eat in a way that is better for people and the planet.

Using the Food Heroes' Mandarin Chinese curriculum, kids can be taught the world's most common language as they learn about nutrition and sustainability! With flashcards, worksheets, gameboards, activities and lesson plans available in Mandarin and bilingual Mandarin/English, kids can be taught to read, speak and write in elementary Chinese.
Best used for beginner and early intermediate learners of the language (levels HSK 1 - 3), the materials can also be used for teenagers and adults as an easy introduction to Chinese.
